Telecom Expense Management: SaaS vs. On-premise Deployment

Choose the TEM Deployment Option That's Right for You

Because VeraSMART® (Veramark's TEM-enabling technology) is a Web-based application, the user experience is virtually identical whether the software is running on your servers or in the Veramark data center. By offering both SaaS and on-premise deployment, Veramark allows you to select the deployment option that is best for your organization.

Hosted SaaS (Software as a Service)

In the SaaS scenario, VeraSMART is installed at Veramark's secure, tier-1 hosting facility designed for zero downtime. Benefits include monthly data archiving and daily backups that are securely stored off-site for the life of the agreement. You have full control over your VeraSMART solution via the Web interface. Reporting and support services are optional. You may also choose to take advantage of any or all Veramark BPO services, available only for SaaS deployments.

Factors to consider:

  • Reliability, security, and scalability – software and data is hosted at a secure, tier-1 facility designed for zero downtime and unlimited scalability
  • Rapid deployment and limited risk – there's no faster, easier way to implement the TEM capabilities you need
  • System administration – our IT experts ensure optimal performance, perform database backups and application updates, and provide regular system reports
  • Freedom to focus on core competencies – because we assume the work of managing your TEM system, your staff is free to focus on their respective areas of expertise
  • Flexibility – new software capabilities can be added virtually overnight to support your changing business needs
  • Optional BPO – you have the option at any time during your hosting agreement to transition critical TEM services to our experience BPO service team.

On-premise Installation

With this option, the VeraSMART software is installed on your hardware and is administered and managed by your IT team.

Factors to consider:

  • In-house resources – Do you have the IT resources and infrastructure needed to support and manage the application?
  • Skill sets – does your organization have the necessary skill sets in house – or a plan to develop them? (Veramark offers all levels of VeraSMART training – from admin to end user.)
  • Initial investment – Is your organization prepared to make the necessary initial investments in time, expense, and training to configure the hardware, implement the software, and train system administrators?

Your Veramark representative can help you weigh the pros and cons of these telecom expense management deployment options and make the best choice for your organization.
