VeraSMART System Requirements

Server requirements will vary and are determined on a customer-by-customer basis.  System requirements will vary based on the number of VeraSMART® modules purchased and the number of users.  The following sample minimum server requirements are based on call record volume of three million calls per month and two saved reports per month.  Concurrent users running multiple reports may result in an increase in server requirements.  These requirements assume that report generation is scheduled for off-peak hours.  If multiple reports are run concurrently during business hours, server requirements will increase.  Any deviation from these assumptions may require different server requirements.

The server/call record volume requirements are based on the following assumptions:

  • The VeraSMART current call record period contains three months of call records
  • The VeraSMART system contains up to four, three-month archive periods

The VeraSMART user monitors how much hard drive space is used by Saved Reports and manages accordingly.

Sample server requirements include:

  • Call record volume per month – up to 3,000,000
  • Database manager – Microsoft® SQL Server™ 2005 Standard Edition
  • Operating system – Windows® Server 2003 R2
  • PC class – server
  • Minimum memory (RAM) – 2.0 GB
  • Hard drive space – 100 GB free space
  • Hard drive speed – 15,000 RPM SCSI
  • Minimum processor speed – Pentium 4 3.0 GHz
  • Number of processors – two or more
  • Supported browser – Only Internet Explorer® (IE) 6.0 or greater can be used on the VeraSMART server
  • Required hardware devices for single-site systems:

      • One external serial port (COM-1) used for the main site CDR/SMDR input
      • Ethernet card
  • Remote access (browser/network and modem):
      • Browser must use IE 6.0 or greater, or Mozilla Firefox® 1.5 or greater, to access VeraSMART from the intranet or Internet
