VeraSMART System Requirements


VeraSMART is designed to be flexible and configurable. As a hosted solution, the only user requirement is a compatible Web browser. Specific system requirements for premises-based solutions will depend on many factors, including the number of CDR sources, users, and locations supported by the implementation.

General requirements are listed below.

Supported Web browsers

  • Microsoft® Internet Explorer 6.0
  • Mozilla Firefox® 1.5 or greater


Compatible operating systems

VeraSMART 8.0 is compatible with a range of Microsoft platforms:

  • Windows® XP Professional (32 bit) + SP2
  • Vista (32 or 64 bit) Ultimate, Business or Enterprise
  • Windows Server™ 2003 Standard or Enterprise Edition + SP1 or R2 (32 or 64 bit)


Optional databases

VeraSMART includes an embedded SQL Server 2005 Express + SP2 database, which supports implementations for up to six million CDRs in the active database, or up to 4 GB of total space. Customers who require high-volume capabilities or need a remote database may require SQL Server Standard Edition 2000 + SP3 or SP4, or SQL Server Standard Edition 2005 + SP2.

Hardware requirements

VeraSMART hardware requirements including RAM, NTFS-formatted disk space, and processor—beyond those required by the operating system—are dictated by the specifics of the implementation. (Note: Program files cannot be installed on a SAN drive.)

Remote access support

Remote support is offered via dial-up or Internet connection and requires a maintenance contract.
